Philanthropic Projects
Welcome to our Philanthropy Page! Here you will find genome assembly projects that were partially or fully funded under one of our philanthropic programs. The AG4 (A Genome for … ) program is a crowd-funding effort whereby we donate $500 on behalf of each genome assembly service project we sell until enough funds are raised to cover the AG4 project. It is reserved for threatened or endangered species where an actionable downstream conservation plan is in place once the genome assembly is complete. These genomes also become part of the Revive & Restore Wild Genomes collection.
The Orphan Species Initiative (OSI) is a program we implemented to foster genome assembly projects in less privileged countries. Typically, these projects will be for species of agricultural or human relevance that lack genomic resources.
We are always looking for new projects to consider. CONTACT US if you’d like to nominate a species for one of these programs.
